保單行政服務優化 – ) 提升簡易保單復效服務及2) 修訂正常保單復效的體檢要求 
  
保單行政服務部致力簡化行政規則,盡力為顧問及客戶提供良好的服務體驗。我們欣然宣佈,由201897日起,下列保單行政服務優化項正式推出: 
1.        提升簡易保單復效服務

a.        擴大簡易保單復效的適用產品範圍

·        除註1及2列出的情況外,所有基本計劃 (包括傳統保單、萬用壽險及投資相連計劃)及附加保障均適用,更多客戶可享用簡易保單復效的便利。

b.        涵蓋有附加保費、不保事項、索償記錄或因過度貸款而失效的保單

·        一直以來,如保單有附加保費、不保事項、索償記錄或因過度貸款而失效,簡易保單復效並不適用。服務提升後,此類保單亦被納入簡易保單復效的適用範圍內。

c.        提升保單失效確認書的內容

·        因應保險徵費的實施,此確認書會以列表形式詳細列出需要繳付金額的明細,資料一目了然(附件一)。

·        簡易保單復效有效期為30天,回覆期限會於確認書清楚列出。已填妥的申請書及所需保費,需於回覆限期前交到公司方為有效。

d.        自動篩選適用簡易保單復效申請書

·        簡易保單復效申請書有2種版本(附件二及三),系統會依照保單內的保障類別自動篩選適用的申請書(附健康資料問題或沒有健康資料問題),連同保單失效確認書一併郵寄至客戶的通訊地址,令復效過程更順利。

·        保單號碼及客戶姓名會預先列印於申請書上,減少客戶填寫申請書的時間。

e.        新適用範圍生效日

·        201897日起失效的保單

f.        重印失效確認書及簡易保單復效申請書

·        因決定每張保單適用的申請書版本較為複雜,簡易保單復效申請書不會上載至SunSurf顧問請電郵至hk_cs@sunlife.com 要求重印,以確保使用正確的申請書,避免不必要的跟進。

1:如基本計劃不容許復效的保單,客戶只會收到保單失效通知書(附件四)。 
2:如基本計劃容許復效,但保單內有任何不可復效的附加保障,該附加保障的保費將會從所需保費中剔除。 
 

2.        修訂正常保單復效的體檢要求

a.        以往保單如失效超過一年,客戶必需於提交正常復效申請前,先進行體檢並提交報告。我們已重新檢視此要求,由201897起,此項行政規則現修定如下:

·        客戶不必於申請前進行體檢,可先行提交可保證明書申請保單復效

·        經核保後,如有體檢要求,保單行政部將發出跟進事項,客戶此時才需進行體檢及提交報告

Policy Administration Service Enhancements – 1) Simplified Reinstatement Service Enhancements and 2) Revision of Medical Examination Requirement for Normal Reinstatement 
  
Policy Administration Services Department (PAD) is dedicated to simplifying the administrative rules and creating better insuring experience to end clients and consultants.  We are pleased to announce that, with effect from 7 September 2018, the following policy administration services enhancements are implemented: 
 

1.        Simplified Reinstatement Service Enhancements

a.        Expansion of Simplified Reinstatement Offer (SRO) Applicable Scope

·        Unless stated in Note 1 & 2, SRO is applicable to all basic plans (including traditional product, universal life and investment linked investment scheme) and riders. The expanded scope allows more clients to enjoy the convenience of the simplified reinstatement service.

b.        Inclusion of Policies with Loading, Exclusion, Claim Record or Lapsed due to Overloan

·        Previously, SRO is not applicable to policies with loading, exclusion, claim record or lapsed due to overloan. With the enhancement in place, these policies are now included.

c.        Enhancing the content of Lapse Confirmation Notice

·        With the implementation of the Insurance Levy, the lapse confirmation notice is enhanced to illustrate the composition of the required reinstatement premium in a table format. Levy amount payable can be easily found (Appendix 1).

·        SRO is valid for 30 days. Reply deadline is clearly printed on the notice. Completed application form and required premium must reach the Company on or before the reply deadline.

d.        Automatic Selection of Simplified Reinstatement Application Form

·        The SRO application form has 2 versions (Appendix 2 & 3). Depending on the coverage type in a policy, applicable form will be automatically printed (i.e. with or without health details) and sent to client together with the Lapse Confirmation Notice. This arrangement aims to ensure a smooth reinstatement experience by avoiding unnecessary follow up due to use of incorrect application form.

·        Policy number and client name(s) are pre-printed on the form to reduce the hassle of form filling.

e.        Effective date of new SRO scope

·        The expanded scope is applicable to policies lapsed on or after 7 Sep 2018.

f.        Reprint of Lapse Confirmation Notice and SRO Application Form

·        It is quite complicated to decide which simplified reinstatement application form version to use. To reduce unnecessary follow up, SRO forms will NOT be uploaded to SunSurf. Consultants are invited to email hk_cs@sunlife.com to request for a reprint of the Lapse Confirmation Notice and SRO application form.

  
Note 1: Basic plans or riders that are not allowed to reinstate are excluded from SRO (Appendix 4). 
Note 2: If there are riders that are not allowed to reinstate in a policy which is within the applicable SRO scope, the premium of this rider will be excluded from the required premium.   
  
2.   Revision of Medical Examination Requirement for Normal Reinstatement

a.        It was a mandatory requirement for normal reinstatement that client was required to undertake a medical examination and submit relevant report(s) for underwriting if the policy had lapsed over a year. We have revisited this requirement. Effective from 7 September 2018, this administrative rule is revised as below:

·        Client is no longer required to undertake a medical examination prior to submitting the Personal Insurability Certificate for normal reinstatement.

·        If medical examination is required after underwriting, PAD will issue pending requirements to consultant. Client then needs to perform medical examination and submit relevant reports for our further assessment.
